“When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.” – Rumi

This is how it feels around here these days, at least for me. It’s warming up – thank you, spring! – and COVID restrictions are loosening, so I’ve had the pleasure of seeing clients again. We’ve shared meals, caught up, strategized, planned, and even shot another case study video.  As an introvert, I didn’t appreciate how much I had missed the client interaction. But there’s not much I love more than water marketing talk, and it’s made that river move in me again. As I build out my schedule over the next few months, I would love to hear which water events you’re planning to attend in person. It would be great to meet in real life again; I’m already anticipating June in San Antonio for ACE2022 and possibly PA AWWA at the end of the month.

An exciting development – two! – is giving me a little space to get away from my desk to see people in person. I’m delighted to introduce our two full-time employees. In early January, Margot Espinoza joined us as BBCG’s account manager. If you’re a client, Margot is your first point of contact, ensuring your projects stay on brand, on time, and on budget. She’s a dream, taking a lot of procedural stuff off my plate so I have more time to work on clients’ marketing strategy.

The second big hire is our new creative director, Renee Miller, who joined us mid-February. Renee is already taking the lead on multiple website launches, advertising designs and client messaging. Both Margot and Renee bring years of agency experience and professionalism and a new level of creativity to our projects. Margot and I will be at ACE2022 in less than 3 months. If you’re planning to be there, let’s try to meet up!

Finally, I have to give a little shout-out to International Women’s Month last month. As a woman-owned business loaded with badass women, I am thrilled to look around and see how the climate has changed for women in water. Many of our clients , are led or owned by women and Tori Andrews did a fantastic job of positioning our PR clients out front where they belong. You can learn more about what motivates Dr Mirka Wilderer, CEO of De Nora Water Technologies, and Tammy Bernier, CEO of Duperon, in the coverage we secured on Water and Wastes Digest and H20 Global News.

Wishing you and your family a healthy spring filled with joy,

Beth
